SUMMARY OF THE TRIP:

Day 1: Arrive in Lima, the City of Kings

Our representative will greet you at the airport and transfer to Miraflores or if arriving late at night or early morning you can stay at the nearby airport hotel to be well rested for the next day. Hotel in Lima

Day 2: Lima – Fly to Puerto Maldonado – Amazon Rainforest

Morning transfer to the Lima airport or if you stayed at the nearby airport hotel walk to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Arrive in Puerto Maldonado where our Lodge representative will greet you and transfer to the port to board the boat for a ride along the Madre de Dios River. Arrive at the Amazon lodge and receive a briefing and get comfortable in your bungalow or cabaña. We will take a guided walk along the Amazon trail system and have an introduction to nature and its wildlife. In the evening we will take a canoe for a twilight river excursion. Return to the lodge for a restful sleep with the sounds of the jungle. Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 3: Amazon – Sandoval Lake

Early in the morning, we set off for a hike through Terra Firma into theTambopata National Reserve towards Sandoval Lake. Then we navigate by canoe across the oxbow lake, home to the endangered giant river otter, blue and yellow macaw and more wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we will start the adventure with the Canopy Walkway and Anaconda walk for great breathtaking views of nature, toucans, squirrel monkeys and more. Understand and learn of one of the world’s most precious biodiversity of Peru. In the evening before dinner, we will take another hike in the Amazon to catch sight of the nocturnal species of the jungle. Return to the lodge for dinner. Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 4: Puerto Maldonado – Fly to Cusco – Urubamba (Sacred Valley of the Incas)

This morning after a delicious breakfast we will start the tour of the charming city of Cusco. We will observe the Inca wallAfter breakfast, we will take the boat back to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Our representative will greet you at the airport and private transfer to the Sacred Valley. Enjoy the scenic route admiring the stunning landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Relax in nature surrounded by the majestic mountains tucked in your comfortable hotel in Urubamba. Breakfast that remain, visit the Plaza de Armas for a tour of the Cathedral with its lovely paintings painted by the Cusco School. Walk on the city´s cobbled stoned streets to Qoricancha, the Sun Temple for a tour of its sacred Inca building which once had walls covered by gold. Continue above Cusco for a visit of the impressive Sacsayhuaman archeological site with its immense stones which the Spaniards took to build the Cathedral and other places in Cusco. Our final visit will be of the San Pedro market where the local’s shop, where you will experience culture. Later in the day we will take you to the airport for your flight to your next destination. Day 5: Urubamba – Pisac Ruins & Market – Ollantaytambo

Travel to the colorful Pisac handicraft market where you can pick up some souvenirs. Afterwards, we will drive up the hill to the Pisac Inca Ruins for spectacular views of the valley below and admire the many agricultural terraces that dominate this site. We will hike and tour the Intiwatana (Sun Temple), ceremonial areas, view the agricultural terraces and astronomic observatories, amongst others. Stop for lunch in Urubamba. After lunch we continue to the Inca fortress and town of Ollantaytambo, an attractive place which retains its original Inca design. Return to hotel. Breakfast and lunch

Day 6: Urubamba – Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu Tour

Early morning transfer from your hotel to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Machu Picchu. Enjoy an incredible scenic train ride viewing the landscapes along the way. Arrive at the station in Aguas Calientes where you will be met by your guide. Walk together to the bus station where you will wait on line for your turn to board the shuttle bus to Machu Picchu, a 25-minute ride. Take pleasure in a private guided tour of the magical “Lost city of the Incas” one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Admire the exquisite architecture of the temples and listen to the tales and history of this mysterious complex. Observe the Andean terraces and prayer houses surrounded by spectacular panoramic views of the mountains and the Urubamba River below. Hotel in Aguas Calientes. Breakfast and lunch

Day 7: Aguas Calientes - Train ride – Cusco

Second buses and entrance fee for making a second visit to Machu Picchu citadel in the morning – visit on your own. Return to the town and free time for taking a lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, train to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Private transfer to Cusco hotel. Breakfast

Day 8: Cusco Inca Tour

This morning after a delicious breakfast we will start the tour of the charming city of Cusco. We will observe the Inca walls that remain, visit the Plaza de Armas for a tour of the Cathedral with its lovely paintings painted by the Cusco School. Walk on the city´s cobbled stoned streets to Qoricancha, the Sun Temple for a tour of its sacred Inca building which once had walls covered with gold. Continue above Cusco for a visit of the impressive Sacsayhuaman archeological site with its immense stones which the Spaniards took to build the Cathedral and other places in Cusco. Our final visit will be of the San Pedro market where the local’s shop, where you will experience culture. Rest of the day (afternoon) at leisure to explore the city. Breakfast

Day 9: Cusco – Fly to Lima – Tour the Capital of Peru – International flight

We will take you to the airport at your prescribed time. Arrival and immediately, we will visit the most important historic and modern attractions of this cosmopolitan city. Lima was known as the City of Kings was declared a UNESCO World Heritage in 1988. We will observe the colonial and republic constructions of the Cathedral, Torre Tagle Palace, the Government Palace and Archbishop´s Palace. Tour the San Francisco Catacombs. Then drive by the contemporary residential neighborhoods of San Isidro with its olive grove and Huaca Huallamarca, Miraflores with its Central Park (Kennedy Park), Kiss park, shopping centers overlooking the Pacific Ocean. After that, transfer to the airport, flight back home. Breakfast
