La Paz Bolivia

La Paz, Bolivia was founded in 1548 by the Spanish Conquistador Alonso de Mendoza. It is located at around 3630 meters with a mild climate surrounded by the Andes Mountains.
The Tiwanaku ruled a great empire from 700 BC in Bolivia and Sothern Peru. Around 1000 AD the empire dissolved and became separate states. In the 1500´s the Incas conquered Bolivia but shortly afterwards, the Incas were conquered by the Spaniards.

Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca known as the highest navigable lake in the world, is on the border of Bolivia and Peru. Tiwanaku

Tiwanaku or Tiahuanaco is located on the basin of Titicaca, the southern part of Bolivia. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage.

The Tiwanaku empire is believed to have existed between c. 200 to 1000 CE and dominated the altiplano and stretched from the Peruvian Coast to northern Bolivia and included parts of Chile. Tiwanaku is considered one of the most important Andean Cultures which had architecture, roads, empire management which had a great influence on the later Inca Civilization.

Uyuni Salt Flat

Uyuni Salt Flat or in Spanish, Salar de Uyuni, is located in southwestern Bolivia. It is the largest salt flats in the world stretching more than 4,050 square miles of the Altiplano, left behind by prehistoric lakes evaporated long ago.

Here, a thick crust of salt extends to the horizon, covered by quilted, polygonal patterns of salt rising from the ground. A magical vision laid out in front of the horizon waiting for your visit.
